Is it not recommended to do any cardio work after a yoga class?

I have been told this by a yoga instructor, though it makes little sense to me and I would like to keep doing treadmill exercise straight after- Is there any reason I shouldn%26#039;t?|||My suggestion is to ask your yoga instructor the reasoning behind their advice. I see that you are getting conflicting answers here as well, so I think the best thing to do is ask your yoga instructor.

Good luck!|||I would generally avoid combining any cardio with yoga or lifting weights. This is because your blood glucose levels are low after any intense activity and you will not be able to perform the subsequent activity with anywhere near the concentration levels or effort that you can by itself. In addition workouts of more than 90 minutes tend to depress the immune system. If you cannot avoid combining then I would recommend that the cardio come after lifting weights or yoga. This way your nutrients are spent in the activities that build and strengthen muscles and generally cardio doesnt require the same concentration and awareness that yoga or lifting weights does.|||There%26#039;s no reason why you can%26#039;t do a cardio workout after yoga. In fact, the class should be a very good warm up for your muscles and cardio can have a calming effect on the body just as yoga does. If it%26#039;s more convenient for you, it%26#039;s a must. The important thing is to get the cardio into your exercise plan. After all, it%26#039;s the most beneficial exercise for your heart, lungs, blood vessels, and skin. Best of luck to you!|||There is no reason! You can do yoga before or after your cardio work, definitely.

Be consistent and go on with the exercises.

Best|||it is best to do the yoga last so you can stretch muscles from your workout. it reduces chances of injury you must do basic stretches before the cardio
